This Privacy Notice explains how Saftcat Studios collects, uses, and stores information when you use Pants on Fire, including account features, saved stories, live lobbies, and Premium Host Pass purchases.
2. Information we collect
- Account details such as username, display name, email address, and encrypted login credentials.
- Story content and other information you choose to save or submit in the app.
- Live game and lobby data such as game codes, player lists, storyteller choices, votes, scores, and host settings.
- Session data used to keep you signed in and to remember the current game or hosting state.
- Payment-related records for Premium Host Pass purchases, such as PayPal order IDs, capture IDs, amount, currency, and premium expiry time.
- Basic technical data and logs, such as IP-related request metadata, rate-limit data, and error logs used to keep the service secure and working.
3. How we use session and gameplay data
We use session cookies and session-related storage to keep you logged in, identify your current account, restore a hosted lobby, remember the current game stage, and support normal gameplay without forcing repeated sign-ins.
Live lobby and game data is used to let players join rooms, view the current state of a game, vote, reveal results, and complete rounds in real time.
4. How we use your information
We use your information to operate the service, authenticate accounts, save stories, run live games, process Premium Host Pass entitlements, prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, investigate faults, and improve the reliability of the platform.
5. Payments
Premium Host Pass payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store your full card details. We do store limited transaction records needed to confirm payment status, activate premium access, and support account enquiries or fraud checks.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the app, such as hosting, database, realtime infrastructure, and payment processing providers, but only as needed to run the service.
7. Retention
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain accounts, support saved stories and premium access, comply with legal obligations, and investigate misuse or technical issues. Temporary session and gameplay data may be deleted sooner.

You can update your account profile information from the app. If you want to ask about stored account data or request deletion-related support, contact us using the details below.

We take reasonable steps to protect account, gameplay, and payment-related records, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
