Terms of Use

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Pants on Fire, a party storytelling game operated by Saftcat Studios. By creating an account, buying a Premium Host Pass, joining a lobby, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use the service

You must use the service lawfully and responsibly. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.

3. Accounts, stories, and game content

You may submit stories, profile information, and other game-related content. You keep ownership of content you create, but you give us permission to store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the service.

You are responsible for making sure your content does not infringe other people’s rights and does not contain unlawful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate material.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the platform, other users, or game sessions.
• Do not upload malware, spam, fraudulent content, or material intended to harass or harm others.
• Hosts are responsible for the lobbies they create and for moderating invited players where appropriate.

5. Premium Host Pass and payments

Pants on Fire offers a paid Premium Host Pass that increases hosting capacity for a limited period. Prices, currencies, and pass duration are shown at checkout and may change from time to time.

Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not store your full payment card details. A Premium Host Pass is time-limited and begins when payment is successfully captured.

Unless required by law, completed digital purchases are non-refundable once the Premium Host Pass has been activated.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, withdraw, or change any part of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage of saved stories, or error-free operation.

7. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or remove access to the service if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, are using the service unlawfully, or are putting the service or other users at risk.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pants on Fire and Saftcat Studios provide the service on an as-is and as-available basis. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, content, profits, or business arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
